Former STL Standouts Shine at NCMC
Prep Hoops switched it up Saturday afternoon and took in some JUCO action as St. Louis Community College hosted North Central Missouri in a rivalry match-up that featured several former standouts from the Show-Me-State that will be looking to find their 4-year homes in the near future. Here’s a look at the home-state hoopers who stood out for a loaded NCMC squad:

The former McCluer North standout is seeing his stock rise in a hurry at North Central. He is averaging 15.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per game for the Pirates, who are ranked 3rd in the country. He had a strong game Saturday, using his upper body strength and finishing ability to get in the lane and make plays. He had 14 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals in the win.

Shaw was a 2000 point career scorer at Valley Park and has carved out a role in his freshman season with the Pirates. He has split time between the starting lineup and a 6th man role, but is averaging 10 points per game while connecting on over 40% from three. Jeramy was held to 4 points in Saturday’s win, but had a crowd-pleasing finish after a spin move in the lane that left a defender in the dust. He was also very active defensively and on the glass.
