The class 1A bracket includes sixteen teams. Paxton, Holmes County, Graceville, Jay, Hawthorne, Pahokee, Wildwood, Williston, Madison County, Trenton, Hilliard, Jefferson County, Vernon, Franklin County, Port St. Joe, and Malone.
Teams and Players to watch
Paxton seems to be the favorite, finishing the season 20-5. They are led by two seniors Alonzo Wright and Connor Varnum. Alonzo, standing at about 6’1″ averages 13 points per game along with 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Connor at 6’3″ follows suit with a very similar stat line. He averages 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Wildwood proves hard to deal with. With their 6’2″ star player Marcus Niblack and a host of younger talent behind him, they look to make a deep playoff run. Marcus looks to drop 20 points per game. The junior class behind him looks to be full of talent. Alfred Corbin, Nate Mikell, Joe Poyser all standing around 6’4″ help Marcus in every way. Joe almost averages a double-double in rebounds and points, plus Nate and Alfred averaging double digits as well.
Madison County has fallen to the sleeper pick. Finishing the season at 19-5 with Demarvion Brown and Zarrion Robinson running the show. Demarvion averages 13 points per game and has the senior leadership this team will need to make a run. Zarrion (Junior) helps in all aspects of the game. He is a stat sheet stuffer with an average of 10 points per game and 8 rebounds per game.
Franklin County is the unspoken underdog when it comes to this bracket. They finished the season at 15-7. Eden Brathwaite will look to will his team to victory. Throughout the season he has done just that averaging 16 points per game and 7 rebounds per game.
