Eastern Kansas League (EKL)
Bishop Miege, Blue Valley, Blue Valley North, Blue Valley Northwest, Blue Valley Southwest, Blue Valley West, Mill Valley, St. James, St. Thomas Aquinas.
Spencer Bain, 6’1, G, 2020, Blue Valley West
A smart playmaker at the guard/wing position who looks to play physical and loose. He applies great pressure to the ball and is great at forcing opponents to use their weak hand. He is a solid 3-point shooter who can score quickly and shows good form. Bain brings that toughness that you look for in a guard and he has a strong frame and a physicality that translates on both ends of the floor. A hard-nosed senior standout.
Jack Martin, 6’1, G, 2020, Aquinas
Martin does a bit of everything. He brings leadership to the floor without having to light up a stat sheet. Martin has good speed and brings a physicality and strength to the floor and has great defensive awareness. He’s almost constantly on the floor as he is the glue piece that keeps the team running properly. He’s good at spacing and contesting shots and looks to make extra passes and keep his teammates involved. A hustle player who makes an impact.
Jack Moellers, 6’1, G, 2020, St. James
Also a standout QB prospect, Moellers is among the state’s premier outside shooters. Moellers brings strong physicality to the floor and has good athleticism. When he’s healthy and locked in he’s difficult to stop as he can find his shot from several areas on the floor and contribute in full court situations. He can also handle himself in one-on-one situations as he just finds ways to distribute the ball and score through contact.
Zarian Navy, 6’3, G, 2020, Aquinas
An athletic guard who can handle the ball and connect from three-point range. Navy has a nice combination of speed, athleticism and awareness. He operates as a lead guard but can be a scoring guard who can cross up a player and get inside and make something happen. He’s an unselfish player who distributes the ball well and looks to make plays in transition. He understands his game and how he can make an impact and he plays with toughness and an edge that makes him stand out.
Jack Sheplak, 6’4, G, 2020, Blue Valley North
A long wing type player who can finish at the rim or connect from the corner 3-spot. He’s listed at 6’4 and add some athleticism and bounce. He operates well within the team system and brings some toughness and finds ways to use his length to his advantage. He can be a catch-and-shoot player or create some with the ball. He is unselfish and looks to continue the offense and make extra passes and is good at forcing turnovers and rattling opponents when Blue Valley North brings out their full court press.
