Eastern Kansas League (EKL)
Bishop Miege, Blue Valley, Blue Valley North, Blue Valley Northwest, Blue Valley Southwest, Blue Valley West, Mill Valley, St. James, St. Thomas Aquinas.
Miles Blandi, 6’3, G, 2021, Blue Valley
A great catch-and-shoot player who shoots a high percentage from 3-point range. Blandi has great size for a guard at 6’3 and adds length and muscle. A lefty who always seems to find the right amount of space to get his shot off. Blandi is able to defend some on the perimeter but has the strength and build to defend some in the paint.
Tanner Curry, 5’10, G, 2021, Blue Valley Southwest
Curry has the exact type of game you’d expect from a player with his last name. He’s quick, twitchy and is great at finding space and knocking down shots from three-point range. He has terrific vision and it’s good at making smart passes and then quickly catching the ball again for an open 3-point shot. An all-around competitor who has a high IQ and athleticism and quickness needed to find space and get his shot off. An excellent leader as well.
Mac Demo, G, 2021, Blue Valley
Demo is a smart, confident guard who brings physicality and hustle to the floor. He can score from inside and out, making tough shots and scoring through contact. Demo is a solid rebounder and can block shots in transition and in half court settings. He plays hard and gives it everything he has.
Nicklaus Mason, 6’0, G, 2021, Mill Valley
A stop-and-pop 3-point shooter who has good rhythm and the ability to score quickly. He has a soft touch and a high release point to his shot. He also makes sure he has space before he shoots and is a willing passer if he doesn’t have an open look or a lane to dive.
Jacob Hartman, 5’11, G, 2021, Mill Valley
A guard who can make plays in a variety of ways for Mill Valley. He shows a lot of effort and can use his frame to force turnovers and is good at doing the little things well. He fights for position and can rebound, distribute well, score from distance and plays hard overall.
Nick Sullivan, G, 2021, Blue Valley Northwest
A sneaky guard who can come away with the ball in a variety of situations. He just sort of hangs around the ball and can tip it from behind or jump on it during a loose ball situation. Sullivan allows Northwest to play fast and physical as he is unselfish and quick to adapt in situations both in their full court press and as a off-ball moving catch-and-shoot scorer.
Scott Riddle, 6’0, G, 2021, Blue Valley West
A strong junior guard for Blue Valley West who can score and play physical. Riddle has a strong mindset and good size and overall strength. He runs the floor well and can get up and make plays and looks to rebound and contest shots.
