The Detroit PSL has a rich and storied tradition of intense games featuring an elite level of basketball and involving superstar athletes. This season didn't disappoint. In the semifinals of the PSL tournament, Cass Tech defeated CMA by a score of 53-44 and Detroit Frederick Douglass took down Detroit King by a margin of 76-46. In the championship game, Cass Tech defeated Frederick Douglass, 76-46. We will name a Player Of The Year, as well as look at some Honorable Mentions.

 

PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Tyson Acuff (2020, PG, Detroit Cass Tech)

Acuff ended a memorable PSL career with yet another title. He may go down as one of the most successful PSL players ever, and will certainly be talked about for years to come. Acuff's performance in the tournament has put him square in the race for the 2029 Mr. Basketball. The Duquesne commit has the look of a high level floor general at the next level.
