Continue Reading“Sleepers” can be defined in many ways. They could be a player that may not get the press that they deserve, they could get more looks from scouts and/or college coaches, or have a ton of potential. We will look at some sleepers in the junior class that coaches and fans should definitely be aware of.
Dane Coleman Dane Coleman 6'3" | SF Davison | 2022 State MI (G/F, Davison)
Coleman is a grinder. He has a high basketball IQ and is willing to win hustle points. It will be fun to watch his game develop.
Cooper Craggs Cooper Craggs 6'7" | PF Novi Catholic Central | 2022 State MI (F, Novi Catholic Central)
Craggs is a versatile forward that can score with efficiency at multiple levels. He can also guard numerous positions.
Ethan Dunn Ethan Dunn 6'10" | C Elevation Prep | 2022 IN (C, East Lansing)
Dunn has a ton of potential and in 2-3 years teams at the next level will be scrambling to get him. He has really good feet and soft hands.
Cooper Fairman Cooper Fairman 6'3" | SF Saline | 2022 State MI (G/F, Saline)
Fairman was on the verge of a breakout season, until an injury cost him this season. I’m confident that he will come back stronger than ever. Fairman could be the go to guy at Saline with the graduation of Yaklich and Arico.
Carmelo Harris Carmelo Harris 6'0" | CG Flint Beecher | 2022 State MI (CG, Flint Beecher)
The Flint Beecher backcourt is loaded right now, but wait till Terry and Sanders graduate. Trust me, Harris will shine. Harris and Menifield will still be one of the best backcourts in Michigan.
Carson Sanders Carson Sanders 6'5" | CG Hanover Horton | 2022 State MI (CG, Hanover Horton)
Sanders will be a problem for Hanover Horton opponents. He put on a show at the Top 250, where coaches raved about his talent.
Brady Titus Brady Titus 5'10" | PG Tri-Unity Christian | 2022 State MI (PG, Tri-Unity Christian)
I’ve said it since Coach Lancaster showed him off at the 2018 Prep Hoops Top 250: Titus is a D1 talent and a top 10 player in the class of 2022.
Derrick Voltz Derrick Voltz 6'4" | CG Carrollton | 2022 State MI (SG, Carrollton)
Remember his name. He’s a multi level scorer and a terrific all around athlete. Voltz could end up a Division 1 recruit.
Alex Watters Alex Watters 6'1" | CG Lansing Catholic | 2022 State MI (CG, Lansing Catholic)
Let’s be real, Watters has top 10 potential. He’s getting glossed over a little, maybe because of the smaller school. but this kid can play ball.
Tony Williams Tony Williams 5'6" | PG Parchment | 2022 State MI (PG, Parchment)
You don’t put up the type of numbers that he is by accident. The high scoring floor general can also facilitate.
