Tre Holloman of Cretin-Derham Hall (6’3 PG). The Raiders are now 20-3 with Holloman running a senior dominated group with 11 points and 9.4 assists a game. Holloman is the 2022 PG that Tom Izzo has chosen for his lone offer and that says a lot!
Camden Heide of Wayzata (6’6 SF). The year has been a struggle at Wayzata but things are starting to come around some as they have won 6 of 9. Heide had an ankle injury early in the year slowing him up but he’s had a back to back 30 plus point games this month (averaging 15.7 points a game).
Elvis Nnaji of Hopkins (6’8 C). Nnaji is the lone Hopkins low post player this year and he’s getting a solid education at the varsity level. Experience is still being gained but Nnaji is a hard worker scoring 3-4 times a contest for the Royals.
Kendall Blue of East Ridge (6’5 SG). Blue is surely one of the breakout players in the sophomore class. The Raptors had some early losses but are starting to peak at the right time. Blue is scoring 16 a game, handling some, scoring as a wing, and he always defends hard.
Malcolm Jones of Prior Lake (6’8 C). The brother of Robert Jones (at Denver) actually looks a year ahead of his brother’s pace being used as a valuable third option for the Lakers. Jones is scoring ten a game following a pair of D1 seniors.
Josh Ola-Jospeh of Osseo (6’5 SF). One of the most explosive finishers in this junior class is Joshua Ola-Joseph. His 13 a game leads a young Orioles team and with the length, agility that Ola-Joseph has he certainly has division one ability.
Nick Katona of Shakopee (6’6 SF). Another agile and big wing in the sophomore class is Nick Katona. Nick is commonly asked to defend a top player, score 3-4 times a game, and board. He’s an agile forward that will be at a minimum a top D2 prospect but the D1 ability is there.
Braeden Carrington of Park Center (6’3 SG). With Carrington it’s all about that shooting stroke and what he can become with it. He’s scored 6.5 a game for the Pirates and he recently took a visit to Minnesota for a game.
Carter Bjerke of Wayzata (6’8 PF). If there was ever a guy that reminds me of former Waconia/Vanderbilt player Shelby Moats, Carter is it. I don’t know that Carter will be as good as Shelby but I do know they are similar in size with a 6-foot-8 pretty shooting touch. Carter is scoring 15 points a game.
Benard Ommorria of Oseo (6’0 PG). When it comes to table setting lead guards that can also create and finish their own attempts Benard is that player. He’s scoring a dozen a game while also leading Osseo in assists.
Next Up: 6’3 Avery Mast of Lakeville South, 6’7 Brady Helgren of Edina, 6’8 Brady Nicholson of Chaska, 6’0 Antonio Bluiett of Buffalo, 6’2 Sammy Presthus of Edina
