You will notice this is mostly guards as of course guards are able to develop quicker than bigs. You can expect the names of the big men to start emerging this summer and into next year.
Jack Janicki of White Bear Lake (6’2, SG). Scoring 15 a game for the Bears, Jack has put his name into consideration a top three player in the freshman class overall.
Ibrahim El-Amin of Burnsville (5’11, PG). El-Amin is the top scorer at the varsity level when it comes to freshman scoring 18 points a game for the Blaze. Son of Khalid El-Amin.
Jalen Cain of Minnetonka (6’2, PG). A concussion slowed Cain down in the middle of the season but he’s had a memorable year playing both guard spots scoring eight a night.
Max Shikenjanski of Stillwater (6’1, PG). There is a bright future of young Stillwater players and the main name is Max Shikenjanksi, the son of former Gopher Jim Shikenjanksi who is scoring 16 a game.
Emmanuel Schmitter of Eagan (6’2, SG). Schmitter has been a a double figure scoring weapon for the Cats all year putting up ten a game.
Alex Jones of Bloomington Jefferson (6’1 SG). Jones is coming off of the Jags bench and scoring seven points a contest often playing the wing spot. Strong guard that has a physical edge on many.
Jackson Ressler of Lakeville South (6’1, SF). Ressler has been a JV/Varsity combo guy playing a jack of all trades JV role but also helping the varsity bench many games scoring 3 a game.
Khalif Bettis of Burnsville (6’2, SG). Bettis is another young talent in the Blaze line-up, Khalif is running with Ibrahim scoring seven points a contest.
Samuel Musungu of Andover (5’11, PG). Andover uses freshman combo Samuel Musungu and Ben Kopetzki with Samuel scoring eight points a game and Ben providing five a contest. Musungu handles a lot of the PG duties.
Michael Kastelic of Duluth East (6’0, PG). A very talented Greyhounds team includes Kastelic handling the ball and scoring a couple baskets a night.
