JORDAN ALPHONSO | PAINT BRANCH
Alphonso mans the middle for the Panthers, and he does so with pride. He is certainly one of the finer rim-protectors you’ll see in the tournament.
KOBY BAPTISTE | PARKDALE
One of the best-kept secrets in the state, Baptiste has a higher ceiling than most. The lanky and athletic 6-foot-5 wing, who has been a consistent producer throughout his senior campaign, possesses a promising base skillset to build from.
CAM BYERS | DULANEY
Byers has been an important two-way player for the Lions during a distinguished high school career. He is a versatile scorer with good size who can also protect the rim and rebound at a high-level.
BRENDAN DAVIS | BROADNECK
Davis has been a mainstay in our rankings since we first saw him last spring. The efficient southpaw lead guard has enjoyed another impressive run of play heading into states.
KEJUAN FRAGER | WISE
Frager sets the tone with his play on both ends of the floor. He is a crafty lead guard who can score in bunches and make plays for others but also isn’t afraid to compete defensively.
JOHN GODINEZ | PARKVILLE
Godinez is known for his off-the-charts IQ, ability to score in a multitude of ways, and winning intangibles. He’s been tearing it up all season for Parkville.
NATE LACEY | SHERWOOD
Lacey is an athletic 6-foot-4 wing who plays the right way but knows when it’s time to take over. He is a plus defender who will take charges, block shots, and rebound both in and out of his area.
JOEMEL MCNAIR | ELEANOR ROOSEVELT
McNair is a defensive-minded guard who will rebound and play solid team defense. Don’t be fooled though. He is more than capable of dropping buckets on the offensive end. McNair is best in transition but can score relentlessly in half-court sets as well.
ELIJAH RANTIN | MERVO
Rantin has a massive 6-foot-9 frame and loads of potential. He is adept at altering shots in the paint. Rantin also has decent touch when scoring around the basket.
TEON RUSHING | MERVO
Rushing is capable of playing both on and off the ball. This is because he can not only get into the paint consistently off the bounce, but he can score or distribute from there. Rushing is also a hard-nosed defender who does all the little things on that end of the court.
IKE SALISU | BOWIE
Salisu may seem relatively undersized in most scenarios, but he’s an absolute workhorse with sneaky physical traits. He’s a prolific rebounder with strong hands and good length. Salisu is also capable of consistently finishing through contact around the basket.
JORDAN STRICKLAND | PARKVILLE
Strickland is an active forward who plays bigger than his listed height of 6-foot-4. He is a relentless rebounder who converts at a high rate around the basket.
WILL THOMAS | MERVO
Thomas is a good athlete with size and versatility. He can make plays off the bounce at about 6-foot-6, which is rare to see. Thomas also defends at a high-level and is uniquely skilled given his ability to use either hand to dribble, pass, and shoot.
ANTHONY WRIGHT | PAINT BRANCH
Wright is a downhill-type slashing guard with good athleticism and defensive prowess. He is known for his ability to pressure the ball full court as well as his ability to finish in traffic.
