RAHIM ALI | POLY
Is there anyone in the state with a more impressive resume than Ali? He’s working on earning his fourth consecutive state title ring and is on the right track. Ali is a high IQ floor general who constantly impacts the game on both ends of the floor. He’s been the straw that stirs the drink for Poly during their impressive run.
JORDAN BECKETT | POTOMAC
Beckett is a talented guard who can score or facilitate. Adding him in the offseason has certainly bolstered Potomac’s attack.
DOM CARRINGTON | CITY
Carrington is known for his shooting ability. He is capable of scoring in bunches. We saw proof of this when he dropped 50 points earlier this season.
TREMAINE CHESLEY | ST. CHARLES
Chesley is a lockdown defender who has worked hard to improve his offensive game. He is a legitimate two-way threat now. Chesley’s improvement offensively, specifically from the in-between areas, has given opponents something new to think about.
ELIJAH CRAWFORD | POTOMAC
Crawford is a long, versatile defender. He is a very good rim protector and a relentless rebounder. Potomac is deadly in transition partly because of Crawford’s playmaking ability on the defensive end.
KEDRICK FRINK | HUNTINGTOWN
Frink is a long-limbed lead guard who plays with a high IQ and does a bit of everything well. Huntingtown’s hopes of making a run in the tournament will likely depend on his ability to make an impact on both ends of the court.
MALIK HOLLAND | OXON HILL
Holland is one of the best shooters in the state. He’s got good size, listed at 6-foot-3, moves well without the ball, and is always ready to shoot.
CHANDLER JOHNSON | FRANKLIN
Johnson is a defensive-minded player who can defend either guard spot but also play on or off the ball on the offensive end. He’s a solid ball-handler who can operate in pick-and-rolls, make plays for others, but also score from all three levels.
OMAR MCGANN | ST. CHARLES
McGann is a lanky guard who does a bit of everything well. The improvement of his jumper has been evident throughout this season.
BRANDON MURRAY | POLY
Murray is on the shortlist for biggest stock risers this season. He’s a strong, athletic wing who brings everything to the table.
COREY PATTERSON | C. MILTON WRIGHT
Patterson is an active big man who can score inside and out. He is a threat to record a double-double each time he steps on the court.
MIKE SUMNER | OXON HILL
Sumner is a big guard with a tremendous feel for the game. He has become a very good defender and his overall contributions have been key to the success of his team.
IAN WALLACE | POLY
The 6-foot-6 Wallace brings size to any frontcourt. He is capable of stretching the floor or attacking the basket and finishing at the rim. Wallace also competes defensively and isn’t afraid to put his body on the line to earn his team an extra possession.
