Derby, Campus, Hutchinson, Maize, Newton, Salina Central, Salina South
Nick Bonner, 6’2, G, 2020, Derby
A strong guard who brings good size, strength and a versatile skill-set to the floor. Bonner is coming off a productive season with Kansas MTXE where he showcased his leadership, transition creativity and inability to get his teammates involved. Bonner scores around the basket and from behind the three-point line. He is a strong defensive-minded player who is physical, quick and has an eye for plays in the mid-range area. Bonner is averaging 12.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He’s shooting 57 percent from the field and 41 from the 3-point range.
Thomas King, 6’5, G/F, 2020, Campus
King has the ability to operate as a catch-and-shoot player as he has great timing, a high release and 3-point range. King is listed as a forward but has the ability, handles and athleticism to play on the wing as a slasher and three point specialist. He’s an unselfish player and an eager defender who is both active as a shot blocker and defensive rebounder and transition finisher.
Alex Krogmeier, 6’4, G/F, 2020, Newton
A terrific leader and standout wing player for Newton who adds size, strength and athleticism to the perimeter and inside. He can rebound well on both ends of the floor and has solid control and finishing ability in the transition game. Krogmeier plays hard and can impact a game in a variety of ways given his skills, physical tools and flexibility as a defender. He’s averaging a team-high in scoring with 16.3 points and adds 4.4 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game.
Shawn Warrior, 6’4, G/F, 2020, Campus
An excellent wing player who can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim and finish. Warrior is yet another campus standout who can create with his dribble and move off the ball and catch and score. He has a good frame, strong hands and shows a strong leaping ability. Warrior runs well in transition and is a scrappy defender and can force turnovers and get the ball to his teammates for easy plays around the glass.
Tre Washington 5’10, G, 2020, Derby
A special football prospect who also shows productivity on the hardwood, Washington is a tough, defensive minded point guard for Derby who can also score for himself. Washington has good handles and can use his frame and speed to his advantage as he moves inside and looks to score through contact. Washington is averaging 9.6 points, 4.1 assists, three rebounds and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 48 percent from the field. A dynamic two-way player who runs hard, plays lockdown defense and looks to keep his teammates in the game.
