Arkansas Valley-Chisholm Trail (2)

Xavier Bell, 6’3, G, 2020, Andover Central
The recent Drexel University commit brings an elite style of play to the floor. Bell is a strong and physical prospect who has great speed and size. He is a two-way athlete who can score for himself, handle the ball and rebounds at a high level through heavy contact. Bell can shoot from a distance and is also comfortable going inside and using his frame as he moves inside and looks to finish around or at the rim. Bell is averaging a team high 22.3 points, 1.7 assists, 7.6 rebounds, one steal and one block per game. He’s shooting 44 percent from the field and an impressive 85 percent from the free throw line, hitting 84-99. A terrific player who makes great decisions when the game is on the line.
Jacob Byrne, 6’1, G, 2020, Valley Center
The leading scorer for Valley Center and then impressive one at that. Byrne is a solid all-around senior who is physical and fast. He is shooting 46 percent from the field and 41 percent (58-141) from three-point range. He’s also hitting 88 percent (46-52) of his free-throw attempts and shows no sign of slowing down. He brings a scorer’s mentality to the floor and is grade in transition or half court settings given his ability to break down a defense in a variety of ways. He’s currently averaging 17.4 points per game and adds 1.6 assists, 2.5 rebounds and one steal.
Harper Jonas, 6’4, G/F, 2020, Andover
A nice wing-style player who sees time around the paint and on the perimeter due to his speed, versatility and scoring ability from outside. Jonas has good size, length and defensive awareness which allows him to defend a variety of positions on the floor. He’s great at making plays in transition and is a good rebounder and also an unlikely shot blocker. Jonas is averaging 15.2 points, 1.6 assists, 6.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. He’s shooting 54 percent from the field, 41 percent from 3-point range and 75 percent from the free throw line, hitting 27-36. A terrific overall leader who shares the ball but also has an ability to come through in important moments.
Trey Reid, 6’0, G, 2020, Maize South
One of the biggest risers during the summer months, Reid continues to showcase a terrific all-around game. A point guard with great vision and elite awareness on both ends of the floor, he has confidence in his pull up and can put his head down and get to the basket. His uniqueness comes in his ability to both handle the point, stretch a floor with his outside shooting, and all-around scoring abilities. Reid is also an elite defender who likes to pressure the ball and is comfortable defending the opposing team’s most skilled player, regardless of the position. Reid is averaging 22.3 points per game and adds 3.2 assists, 4.3 rebounds in 1.9 steals. He’s shooting 53 percent from the field and 46 percent from three-point range.
Jordan Vincent, 6’3, G, 2020, Eisenhower
A summer standout with KC RUN GMC who has a lot of colleges eyeing his game, Vincent currently holds offers from Colby CC, Hutchinson CC, Kirkwood CC, St. Petersburg CC, Wallace St. CC and Butler CC. Vincent is averaging 25.6 points, 7.3 assists, 6.6 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game. He’s shooting 52 percent from the field, 35 percent from 3-point range and 77 percent from the free throw line, hitting 106 of 138 attempts. Vincent has great athleticism, solid handles and a terrific ability to score through contact. He is terrific at moving the ball and has great vision, strength and the ability to get inside and make plays on both ends of the floor.
