Arkansas Valley-Chisholm Trail (3)
Augusta, Buhler, Circle, El Dorado, McPherson, Winfield
Zachary Davidson, 6’8, F, 2020, Augusta
A tough, aggressive forward who looks to dominate plays at the rim. Davidson is a tough player who can make an impact as a rim protector and rim finisher. He has a muscular frame at 6-6 and looks to use his strength and overall agility to keep opponents out of the paint and away from the glass. Also a good rebounder and second chance scorer who can never be looked over. One of the state’s top big men, Davidson recently scored school record 41 points in a game for Augusta in a win over El Dorado.
Isaac LeShore, 6’4, G/F, 2020, Buhler
A skilled wing player who can handle the ball and get to the rim. LeShore shows up on both ends of the floor as he uses his athleticism and speed to his advantage. He is good at blocking shots and stopping plays around the glass and can go coast-to-coast in score through contact. He plays off the ball well and can catch an attack and even catch-and-shoot from three-point range and the mid-range area. LeShore is also a bouncy player with a good rhythm and solid vision and rebounding skills as well.
Cody Stufflebean, 6’4, F, 2020, McPherson
A strong scoring option inside who shoots a high percentage from the field. He understands his role on the team and how to use his shoulder and overall frame to feel for space and get open looks off the glass. More known through his play on the football field, Stufflebean brings a great work ethic and a tough defensive mentality to the floor. He doesn’t back down from a challenge and is willing to put his body on the line to get a bucket, block a shot, secure a rebound or save the ball. Stufflebean has signed to play football at Kansas State.
Myles Thompson, 6’7, F, 2021, Buhler
A terrific two-way player who looks to rebound and use his build to his advantage. Thompson has good handles for the position and also can run the floor and make plays in transition. Thompson has a clear height advantage at 6’7 and understands how to play physical and create mismatches through his movement on the low and high post. He has skills with the ball but also looks to clean up plays as a rebounder and finish through contact and get to the free-throw line.
Ely Wilcox, F, 2021, Augusta
He can block shots and stretch the floor with his outside shooting. Wilcox is a strong post player who has the ability to contribute positive plays on both ends of the floor. He looks to contest shots and is great at boxing out and keeping the paint clear. He is able to operate is the second chance score and has confidence in the high post game as well.
