Arkansas Valley-Chisholm Trail (3)
Augusta, Buhler, Circle, El Dorado, McPherson, Winfield
Luke Beougher, 5’10, G, 2020, Circle
A two-way athlete for Circle who brings speed, length and athleticism to the floor. Beougher is an underrated rebounder who has good length and overall physicality around the glass. He is a smart transition player and a good defender who can pick off passes, forced turnovers and score through transition plays.
Cooper Courtney, 6’4, F, 2020, McPherson
Courtney adds some size and skill inside the paint. He is another hard-nosed player for McPherson who fights through adversity and sets a tone as a rebounder and defensive threat. He contests shots and has a way of coming up with steals if opponents look to dribble inside the perimeter. Also a clean up player who finishes plays and can score some for himself from 3-point range.
Gunner Hutson, 6’1, G/F, 2020, Circle
An undersized forward who plays tough defense and can stretch the floor some with his outside shooting. He is a good rebounder and makes contact and looks to contest shots and protect the basket. He can also score inside some, from the mid-range area and also connect from the free throw line.
Drake Dick, 6’0, G, 2020, Buhler
He gets out in transition and can score from 3-point range. When he’s locked in he can be difficult to stop. Dick is a senior guard who looks to spread the floor and give his team space. He can knock down open shots and looks to play physical in transition and keep his head up in case an opportunity presents itself.
Eli Jacobson, 5’10, G, 2020, Circle
A nice guard who has good control with the ball in his hands. He’s a resilient defender who stays with the ball but it’s also good at jumping passing lanes and getting out scoring in transition. He’s a pest on the ball and has good instincts fighting through screens and contesting shots.
Jake Johnson, 5’11, G, 2020, El Dorado
A good defensive player who applies strong pressure to opposing guards on the perimeter. He has good hands and has an understanding of his team’s defensive schemes and how to jump out and make plays.
Braden Sides, 5’10, G, 2020, Buhler
A player who looks to use the offense to his advantage as he moves off the ball and finds open looks on the perimeter. Sides can handle the ball and is good at kicking off fast-break looks and passing to his teammates in transition. He is unselfish but has confidence in himself and can shoot a contested 3-pointer.
Hayes Schmid, 6’0, G, 2020, McPherson
A nice guard who can score in bunches, but also looks to keep the ball moving. Schmid is another senior guard who plays hard as a defender and scorer. He shoots a solid percent from the field and looks to extend the floor with his 3-point range. Also a solid free throw shooting player who gets to the basket and puts himself in a position to get to the line.
