Arkansas Valley-Chisholm Trail (I)
Derby, Campus, Hutchinson, Maize, Newton, Salina Central, Salina South
Josh Jordan, 5’11, G, 2021, Salina South
A confident guard who plays strong on both ends of the floor. He is a strong perimeter defender who can jump passing lanes and kick off transition plays. Also a good rebounder for his size who gets inside and makes contact. He can score in a variety of ways and gets to the free throw line and connects. Also a player with good vision who looks to make smart plays and get his teammates the ball. Jordan is averaging 12.7 points, 2.8 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game.
Devin Junghans, 5’9, G, 2021, Salina South
Junghans is a terrific junior guard who brings quickness, athleticism and an offensive eye to the floor. He is an extremely tough player who can shake off opponents with his handle and create space and score from distance and the mid-range area. He also looks to take the ball to the hoop and is good at absorbing contact and getting to the free-throw line where he shoots 84 percent, hitting 56-67. An all-around tough player who shows a solid upside and a competitive nature. Junghans is averaging a team high in scoring and assists with 13.3 points and 4.3 assists. He also adds 2.3 rebounds and one steal per game.
Reed McHenry, G/F, 2021, Salina Central
An all-around wing-style player who can stretch the floor and play physical around the glass. McHenry has a great competitiveness and good hops for his size and build. He’s a strong player and an impressive rebounder on defense. He runs the floor well and has the handles and skill to block a shot, collect his rebound and then go coast-to-coast and score through contact in transition. A solid two-way player who outworks his opponents and keeps his eyes open for a play.
Isaac Ray, 6’5, G/F, 2021, Derby
A well-built athlete who runs the floor and looks to get out in transition. He is a strong defensive presence for Derby who is great at using his frame and length to his advantage. Ray is a talented and mobile forward who looks to stretch the floor with his outside shooting but can also play hard inside and hit jumpers, floaters and other shots around the low and high post. He’s averaging 10 points, 1.4 assists, 3.3. Rebounds and one steal per game. He’s shooting 46 percent from the floor, 43 percent from 3-point range and 57 percent from the free throw line (20-35).
Colin Schreiber Colin Schreiber 6'3" | PF Salina South | 2021 State KS , 6’3, G/F, 2021, Salina South
A nice player for South who is having a strong season. Schreiber can shoot from distance and shows good timing as a shot blocker and rebounder. He handles it well and can surprise opponents with his creativity both on and off the ball. Schreiber is averaging nine points, 3.6 assists, 5.9 rebounds, one steal and 1.8 blocks per game. A versatile player who runs fast, has good spacing and can get up and make plays around the rim.
