Using the traditional three point contest set up, each player will shoot at all five racks with 4 balls plus 1 money ball. One money ball rack can be placed anywhere on the court depending on the players’ preference. Below is a look at the contestants. Who will win?
Tommy Murr, Lindsay Lane: Wrapping up an unforgettable season and career, Tommy clearly comes in as the favorite. He can score from anywhere on the court. He just finished up a phenomenal season scoring 1,506 points and finishing his career with 5,716 points. Money Ball Location: Top of the key.
Jadan Coleman, Bob Jones: He walks in the gym and he’s in range. He’s at his best when he can come off screens and shoot rather than having to create his own shot. Money Ball Location: Top of the key.
Cameron Glover, Hewitt: Cameron can get hot fast and score in buckets. All season, he provided big points when his team needed him most. Sometimes it seemed like he was the entire offense. Money Ball Location: Right wing.
Sam Youngblood, McAdory: Sam can get hot quick from the start, particularly in the first rack. He needs to play the entire game and keep that momentum rolling. He has a strong pull up jump shot in the midrange and can open up his three point shooting. Money Ball Location: Right corner.
Josh Harrington, Spain Park: Josh is a streaky shooter. If he gets going, he’s going to get hot and let you know it. It all depends how he starts to determine how he’ll finish. When he’s off, he’s off. But when he’s on, he’s en fuego. Money Ball Location: Left wing.
Kam Woods, Pinson Valley: Kam leads the #1 6A Pinson Valley Indians deep into the playoffs looking to repeat as champions. He can score and he can score in buckets. It seems anywhere on the court is in his range. Money Ball Location: Top of the key.
Connor Smith, Lauderdale County: Connor is an emotional player and will get the crowd behind him. He can shoot off the pull up, off the
screen, or driving to the basket. He is not a flashy player, but extremely fundamental. Money Ball Location: Left wing.
Dee Beckwith, Florence: The Tennessee dual-sport commit is a good addition to this 3-point contest. He is a bigger player, but can extend the floor and shoot well. He led Florence to a great season and could shoot with the best of them. Money Ball Location: Left wing.
