STONE MOUNTAIN VS WESTMINSTER

It's been fascinating watching teams develop from November to this week, and Westminster falls into that category of teams that look completely different from earlier this season. That much-improved Wildcat club stayed focused and pulled away from a scrappy Stone Mountain team 64-41 Monday night to move on to the semifinals.

I first saw Westminster December 13 against a terrific Pace Academy team that, after running through them that night, has since rattled off 13 of 14 in dominating fashion. If the Wildcats can get by Lovett  tonight, they'll get another shot at Pace.

Players that stood out:

Jayson Longacre (Westminster, 2021, 6-3, F) - Coming off coach Tray Malloy's bench, Longacre still logged plenty of minutes and did a ton in that time, showing off great athletic ability at both ends while tallying 14 points. He's quick both as a mover and off the floor, and it was his defense that really showed off those abilities, he also showed range from 3 and explosiveness at the rim.
