Continue ReadingJustin Hill is a 6’1 point guard that plays for Fort Bend Travis High School. He played with the Houston Defenders (UAA) program over the summer. He finished as the 3rd best passer on the UA Circuit last year with 4.3 assists per game average. This high school season he has led Travis to a 25-5 record on the season and undefeated in district play at 9-0. Justin is averaging 22.8 points per game this season for his team and is the clear cut leader of the squad. He is ranked 79th in our PHTX200 (Prep Hoops Texas Top 200) rankings for the class of 2020.
Justin is a super-fast guard with great strength, but he can also play effectively with multiple speeds. He is more than a willing passer as well for his squad. Scores the ball on all three levels on the floor. He is a dawg on the defensive end of the ball with good lateral movement and quick hands. He finishes well through contact when driving the lane and will dunk the ball on you. Plays with a high motor and will always be a leader in efficiency on the court.
What motivates you to play the way you do? I just want to win and I am willing to do whatever it takes for my team to be successful. What areas of your game do you feel has improved the most from last year? My jump shot. I can shoot the ball better and from all over the court. What is your recruitment looking like right now, what schools are in contact with you, and what schools have offered you? I’ve been contacted by New Mexico State, Presbyterian, Morgan State, Texas Southern, Texas State, Coastal Carolina, McNeese State, and Tulane. None of those schools have offered me, but I have an offer from Panola College.
Justin will bring about wins with whatever university/college decides to grant him a scholarship. I hope that God blesses him with health to finish his high school career and collegiate career.
