Louisburg spoils Senior Night
The Warriors played spoiler on Granville Central’s Senior Night, defeating the Panthers 73-70 in overtime led by 42 points from Elijah Jamison. Jamison did well controlling the pace and trusting his teammates and in the end, Louisburg pulled off an upset victory in NCC action. In a game that came down to the wire, Louisburg showed poise after squandering a seven-point lead with roughly 1:15 left in regulation. They regrouped in overtime though and pulled out their fifth win in conference play.
Elijah Jamison shows off with UNC-Greensboro in attendance
2021 Louisburg guard Elijah Jamison started out the game quiet, scoring just 12 points in the first half but in the second half, he took over, scoring 30 of his 42 total points in the second half, six coming in overtime. He did well to control the boards and got junior guard Ethan Wood open for a number of 3-pointers in the first half. Down the stretch, he made good decisions scoring the ball and made 17 of their 20 points in the fourth quarter. Not a bad showing with UNC-Greensboro in attendance.
Ethan Wood steps up from 3 in the 1st Half
Junio guard Ethan Wood finished the first half with four made 3-pointers and 12 points. He played a key role in their building their lead in the first half, especially in the first quarter, where he made three 3-pointers. He did well to space the floor and knock down outside shots to take some early pressure off of Jamison.
Jamari Mann played big for Granville Central
Granville Central was knocking on the door all game long thanks to a big game from 2021 guard Jamari Mann. With Terence Harcum Jr. handling the defensive duties, Mann stepped up on offense by putting up a season-high 38 points. He didn’t settle for outside shots, while he did make two 3-pointers. He got to the rim whenever he could for the Panthers, scoring 24 of his 38 in the second half. When he’s locked in, he’s a prospect that turns heads.
Terence Harcum Jr. shows his stuff on both ends
It wasn’t a bad game from Terence Harcum Jr.. After all, he finished with 20 points, 14 of them in the fourth quarter and overtime. He tied the game at 64 with 21 seconds remaining in regulation by calmly dribbling the length of the floor and draining a 3-pointer. On defense, he was tasked as their point-man in their zone press and he did well by creating steals and blocking shots. As he learns to stay involved when teams pressure him on offense, he’ll take his game to the next level.
