James Shiers– Mead
James Shiers has had an impressive sophomore campaign with the number one team in 4A. This year he has averaged 7.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Standing at 6’11 James makes a difference by blocking 1.8 shots a game. James has a great base set of skills down low and a whole lot of potential. This size is something that not very many teams in the state can match, so he definitely is a huge difference maker.
Jaromy Morgan- Thompson Valley
Jaromy Morgan has had a good season putting up 13.1 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Jaromy is a bigger player who can play on the wing as well. He is a good defensive player who starts fastbreaks by intercepting passes. Also he can shoot from the outside hitting three point shots and being able to take players off of the dribble. He may not be able to do too much in these playoffs but is a player to know for next season.
Grant Featherston- Air Academy
Grant Featherson is going to be a name to know soon, he is only a freshman and putting up 8.4 points and 4.3 rebounds a game. He has a good base set of post moves and can run the floor well. Also he has a solid mid range game, a great set of skills for a power forward. Air Academy did not get a great seed but are a young team to look out for.
Jared Stiller- Evergreen
Jared Stiller is a big player who is surprisingly athletic for his size. Standing at 6’9 he runs the floor well and likes to flash to the basket. He is a multi sport athlete who shows his natural athleticism on the floor and a great feel for the hardwood. Also with his big frame he is a good defender standing solid under the rim and being able to block shots. For this Evergreen team his height really helps them out and he may be the x factor for them in the playoffs.
