That loss was an 8 point loss that came on December 20th, Manti is well coached was able to come from behind and oull-out this incredible win.
You would think that the 1 seed would have the easiest road to the Championship but that was not the case. Grantsville and Judge Memorial were tough opponents as the Templars eventually figured out a way to take down Richfield at SLCC.
3A MVP Grady Thompson of Manti High School
The junior guard had a double-double 18 points and 10 rebounds in the Championship game. Grady was consistent all year long. In his last 8 games he virtually averaged a double-double as he helped his team peak at the right time as they were able to bring the 3A State Championship trophy back to Manti.
In the past 3 years the Templars have 74-14 record and two State Titles. This junior class is special because of players like Grady who have unselfish team play.
The 6’2 Junior guard is a consistent reason for their success. Having him on the team for an additional year will allow him to expand his game. Grady had 6 rebounds and an impressive 5 assist a game. With some time to work on his outside game We can see Grady adding more three-pointers to his game which would make him a deadlier prospect.
Grady will be fun to watch with a bigger scoring role next season,
