South Granville is locked in at the right time
The South Granville Vikings kept their perfect season intact on Wednesday night with a 99-65 victory over the Louisburg Warriors to advance to the NCC Tournament Championship game that will be played on Friday or Saturday pending the weather. The Vikings opened up the quarter trailing 8-2 before the closed the quarter out on a 15-0 run and never looked back. They’re locked in at the right time with Granville Central on the agenda for a third time this season.
Bobby Pettiford Jr. makes things look easy
2021 guard Bobby Pettiford Jr. had another game for his squad where he made things look easy. He paced the offense with 24 points and a number of assists to sharpshooting wing Collin Tanner, who also finished with 22 points on six made 3-pointers. They’re a team that’s very dangerous when firing on all cylinders like they were last night.
Elijah Jamison still a stud in his own right
The Warriors fell big in the end but 2021 guard Elijah Jamison still finished with 27 points to pace his squad. It just didn’t help that his supporting cast wasn’t on and making shots like they were a few days ago against Webb. All isn’t lost though as Louisburg looks to prepare for the State Playoffs.
