Braden Huff (Glenbard West)
Current Ranking: #11
Previous Ranking: NR
Huff is one of the biggest breakout players from the first half of the season. The 6’9” lefty power forward has a skilled game with his ability to shoot it, put the ball on the deck, and score around the cup. He will definitely need to add strength in the future, but he is trending upward as one of the best post prospects in this class after a productive first half of the season for Glenbard West.
Emondrek Ford (Bloom)
Current Ranking: #17
Previous Ranking: #27
What impresses us so much about this young post is his length, athleticism, and defensive prowess. Excellent shot blocker that rebounds well on both ends. He is a good player now, but is just scratching the surface of what he can be long term showing flashes offensively. Plays limited minutes, but we think Ford has a high ceiling.
Nick Hesch (York)
Current Ranking: #45
Previous Ranking: NR
Hesch opened our eyes with his play for York in the title game. The 6’5” power forward has some projectability to where he should grow a few more inches. Finished efficiently and caught an alley-oop. Thin kid with broad shoulders that can add strength going forward.
Khaje Branch (TF North)
Current Ranking: #48
Previous Ranking: NR
Branch is a 6’8” strong bodied center with a wide frame. A bit slow, but moves pretty well for his size. The five man posts up very strong calling for the ball. He scores on left handed hook shots. Like the potential here long term. Rebounds well in his area and plays tough post defense.
