Just like in football, Myles is a playmaker on the hardwood in every aspect of the game. He has a quick first step which allows him to beat his defender off the dribble at will, he has great vision on the floor, and he is a very good on ball defender causing issues for opposing guards. He is off to a strong junior year, he is currently averaging: 13.4 PPG, 3.2 APG, 3.4 RPG, 3.3 SPG, he has played his best ball as of late, scoring double figures in the last seven games including twenty or more in four of those games. He is second on the team in scoring, with a triple threat backcourt that is as dangerous as any in the state. He has a great sense for the game and is able to put his teammates in position to be successful. He is starting to find his groove offensively which is a scary sight for opposing teams.
Griffin Lauritano – Evergreen
A junior standout for Evergreen, Griffin is having a huge year for the Cougars leading them to a 13-8 start on the year with playoffs approaching soon. He is averaging: 18.2 PPG, 7.5 RPG leading the team in both categories. Those averages are up from his sophomore season in which he played in all twenty-four games and averaged 13.8 PPG and 5.6 RPG. Listed at 6’4, he does the majority of his work from inside the three-point arc and charity-strip. He will keep the defense honest from distance as well, he is currently shooting 43% (20/46) from three-point range. He has good handles for his size and is able to take bigger defenders off the dribble. He is a great athlete that can cover multiple positions defensively. The three leading scorers for Evergreen are all juniors, it will be fun to see how this team plays come playoff time and next year.
Brayden Carter – Mullen
The junior big man for Mullen is having a strong season for the Mustangs, he is averaging a double-double at 18.9 PPG, 10.5 RPG. At 6’7 he is able to affect the game in a number of different ways, from being a low-post presences, to his paint protection ability, and his wiliness to rebound on both ends of the court. He is shooting 51% from inside the three-point arc were he does the bulk of his work, he is also a good foul shooter at 70% on the year (80/114). He has a great mid-range game and a number of different post moves down low. He moves well for his size and will be able to put on more muscle going forward, the next step to his game will be extending his range behind the arc, currently he is shooting 31% (14/45) from distance. He has a good feel for the game and does not force things on the offensive end, he plays with great poise for a big.
Greysen Carter – Fairview
Fairview has had a very strong year, with a record of 17-3 with only three games remaining before playoff time, they will look to continue to rely on Carter who is averaging: 17.5 PPG, 7.8 RPG, 2.0 SPG, shooting 61% from inside the three-point arc (121/197) on the year. He is also a strong foul shooter, as he shoots 78% from the line (75/96). Tanner Lamb – Legend
Tanner has helped Legend reach a 14-7 record on the year so far with only two games remaining, at home against Thunderridge and on the road at Chaparral. He is averaging: 13.4 PPG, 2.4 RPG, shooting 48% from distance so far on the year (55/115). He has made a huge jump from his sophomore season to now, and it will be fun to watch his game grow this spring and summer. He might be one of the most underrated shooters in the state, he currently ranks 13th in percentage with his 48% from distance according to MaxPreps. Only one shooter above him has more attempts with the same percentage, all the others have far less attempts. Tanner moves well without the ball and has great range on his shot, but does not force many bad shots. He is shooting the ball impressively well this year which has helped Legend stick in the middle of the pack in a very competitive Continental League this year.

With a 6’6 frame, he does is work from inside the three-point arc, shooting 59% from the field. He is a strong rebounder on both ends of the court with a relentless pursuit of the ball which often leads to second opportunities for his team. He is a force inside the paint and does a great job of going right back up with offensive rebounds, often leading to easy put backs for himself. He moves well for his size and is a major factor why Fountain-Fort Carson is currently third in the league behind Pine Creek and Doherty. They finish the season on the road at Liberty tomorrow and at Rampart on Friday.
