Top Players:
Tommy Murr, Lindsay Lane: Despite the loss, Tommy took all the attention. When he walks in the gym, he’s instantly in range. He gave his team everything he had. He finished with 56 points on 23-47 from the field. He added 10 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists. He finished his season 1,506 points. He finished his career with 5,716 points averaging 31.6 points.
Chase Vinson, Jacksonville Christian: As good as Tommy Murr was, Chase put on a performance that may sit atop his career best. He scored 39 points on 14-17 shooting and 11-14 from the line. He dominated the boards with 21, 8 being offensive. He was a force to be reckoned with and will be tough to guard in the Regional championship.
Giancarlo Valdez, Decatur Heritage: Giancarlo led the way for Eagles with 23 points. He can score and can score in heaps. He can defend anywhere and anyone on the court. He is on a quest to help lead his team to back to back State Championships.
Cooper Austin, Spring Garden: Cooper was Mr. Big Shot all night. Every time Skyline made a run, he responded with a big shot. He was money from the three point line and the 15 foot area. His team will need him to show up and show out in the championship game on Monday.
Jawan Petty, Pickens County: He had a huge first half for Pickens County. He had 16 points on four three pointers and had a look in his eye that he could score from anywhere on the court. It’s that fiery approach that needs to be there on the big stage. He finished with 20 points.
Alex Glover, Covenant Christian: Alex came in the fourth quarter and was electric. He hit two big freethrows and then a big three pointer to pull the team within 4 points with 20 seconds remaining. His team needed him to show up and give them a boost and he delivered. Unfortunately, his team fell short.
