Pickens County 50, Decatur Heritage 47
Jah-Merien Latham, Pickens County: Jah-Merien is a huge force for the Pickens County team. He’s committed to play football at Alabama next year. He’s a big presence on the inside and able to control both the offensive and defensive boards. He finished with 20 points and 13 rebounds to advance to the Final Four.
Jacksonville Christian 52, Spring Garden 49
Eli Fair, Jacksonville Christian: It wouldn’t be playoff time without big playoff shots. With 4 seconds to go, Eli Fair got the ball to half court and let it fly. He knocked down the biggest shot of his life to send Jacksonville Christian to Birmingham for the Final Four. He finished with 12 points.
Chase Vinson, Jacksonville Christian: Chase continued his dominant season by keeping his team alive against a very good Spring Garden team. He works well in the paint and controls all things on the inside. He finished with 18 points,14 rebounds and 4 assists.
Weston Kirk, Spring Garden: It’s disappointing to see Spring Garden knocked out of the playoffs again. Weston has played so well all season. He shoots the ball effectively and crashes the boards. His team just fell a little short to Jacksonville’s miracle. He finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
