- Westover HS is a state championship contender! The Wolverines haven’t lost a single game this season and are playing better each time we see them. They have improved on the defensive side of the ball and are a battle tested group that has won games on the road in tough environments.
- Pine Forest is a team of the future! With the majority of their main contributors being players that are Freshman or Sophomores, the Trojans have a very bright future if they can keep this group together.
- Westover HS Junior Guard D’Marco Dunn should have ACC programs coming in to see him! The more we see him, the more impressed we are with his overall ability and the way he impacts the game. He does everything well and is one of the most efficient players that you will see in the state. Was 5 for 7 from three, finishing with a game high of 29 Points on the night.
- Pine Forest HS Sophomore Guard Tristan Haskins is a legit college prospect already! He came into the season as a catch and shoot player but has added to his game to make a higher impact. His ballhandling has improved as well his ability to shoot it off the dribble. He would finish with 22 Points on the night, knocking down four treys.
- Westover HS Point Guard Isaiah Bridges could be a solid D2 player! You won’t understand the impact he makes on a game by just looking at his stats. He does a bit of everything for his team which includes: scoring, facilitating, defending , rebounding and being a leader/coach on the court.
- Pine Forest Freshman Guard Isaiah Washington has plenty of upside! This wasn’t necessarily his best showing but we saw some flashes of how good he could be overall. He has a smooth game and showed the ability to score from the perimeter, finishing with 13 Points on the night.
- Westover HS Senior Forward Traymond Willis-Shaw will make a college coach happy! He has a good feel for the game, and makes moves that you just don’t see a 6’7 player make on the regular. Once he gets into a college program, he could truly flourish in the right system.
