Some are multiple sport athletes that will probably take their talents to the gridiron next year but there are some potential college basketball prospects in this group as well of course.
Village Christian Senior Forward Justin Thomas: D1 programs that are in search of a legit wing should be giving him a call sooner than later. A legit 6’5 that can score the ball in various ways but does so within the flow of the offense is what you will get from this young man. He didn’t have huge numbers but was efficient with the touches he got and does a nice job of rebounding the ball as well.
Sarasota HS Senior Forward/Center Vincent Parisi: At 6’7 he brought the size for his team as pretty much every other player was in the 6 foot range. One thing was for certain, he didn’t mind mixing it up inside and doing the dirty work for his team, constantly working to come up with positive plays and providing a nice amount of rebounding for his team.
Sharpstown HS Senior Guard Fadi Moit: In the first game that we got the chance to see them play, he was absolutely on fire from downtown, knocking down a high amount of treys in a blowout win. He didn’t necessarily have the same shooting success on the final day but stayed aggressive and engaged throughout, looking to make plays in other ways.
Village Christian Senior Forward Josh Reid: Quietly efficient is one of the best ways to describe what he brings to the table. You won’t hear much from him vocally but he makes an impact on the court in various ways and has what we would call sneaky athletic ability. Skillset wise he’s a high level player and for the most part he does the things needed, D2 programs should be on him heavy while LM should be watching closely.
New Life Christian Senior Guard Ricardo Polk: Whenever he’s locked in and focused, he’s a solid two way player for his squad. You can play him on and off the ball offensively but where he seems to truly flourish is in a faster paced game. JUCO programs should keep a close eye on him as he could potentially be a prospect they may want to recruit in the near future.
Sharpstown HS Senior Forward Trevon Banks: It wasn’t much of a surprise to us that he is a standout football player as he has the physique and playing style of a player that does damage on the gridiron as well as the court. Scoring and rebounding were the areas that he made the biggest impact, constantly working inside the paint as well as knocking down some outside shots.
