Cameron Heiman, senior, Northern Heights:
The 5-foot-10 senior started the season with a series of 20-plus point efforts and was leading the area with a 25-point per-game average. He’s slowed down a bit, but went off for 26 against Council Grove last week.
Gabe Garber, senior, Sabetha:
The 5-foot-10 multi-sport star has been a scoring machine for the Blue Jays. Earlier this season, he went off for 34 against Wamego, and last week he scored more than half his team’s points (55) in a 29-point outburst against Rock Creek.
Tanner Hecht, junior, Wamego:
The 6-foot-5 versatile Hecht has had some big outings, like his 26 points against Chapman. He averages about 17 points and 8 rebounds a contest for the Red Raiders.
Andrew Berckefeldt, senior, Santa Fe Trail:
Another guy who gets after it on the glass as well as scoring a lot of points is the 6-foot-1 senior Berckefeldt. He averages more than 8 rebounds a game, and he’s had several 20-plus point games, including 21 last week against Wabaunsee.
Parker Stone, junior, Perry-Lecompton:
The 6-foot-1 junior put up 20 against Pleasant Ridge last week and averages about 15 points a game.
