Jeremiah Williams (Simeon)
Current Ranking: #14
Williams is a 6’5” small forward that brings versatility and the ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. He transferred to Simeon from St. Laurence to play his senior season. It took him a while to find his place, but he has had a strong start to the second half of the season. Brings toughness and defense. Rebounds well from his wing position and is improving as a mid-range jump shooter. Williams is getting heavy attention from Southern Illinois and Valpo.
Jayden Johnson (Batavia)
Current Ranking: #15
Johnson is a Prep Hoops Illinois favorite. The 6’5” wing is an elite level shooter. Big time shot maker off the catch that lights it up with the best of them. Moves tremendously well without the basketball to get open. Johnson is the ultimate team first guy. On almost all of the teams he has played on he has been the best player, but he values every player on his squad and tries to get the most out of their abilities. Rebounds well for a wing. Low-majors and mid-majors in need of a big time shooter should be all over him. Right now insanely he does not hold a single D1 offer.
Antoine Bloxton (Bogan)
Current Ranking: #18
Bloxton is a wiry scoring two guard that gets buckets in bunches. He is a high energy wing that plays really hard. As a senior he has been the go to guy for Bogan from day 1. Excellent transition player with his speed and slashes taking good angles getting to the hoop. Much improved consistency as a jump shooter. Like what he brings to the table as a defender being able to check multiple backcourt spots and turn steals into points. He will most likely head to JUCO.
Will Wolfe (Oswego East)
Current Ranking: #21
Wolfe is an excellent scorer that is coming off a summer where he was hampered with injuries. The senior transferred from Aurora Christian to Oswego East for his senior season. It has been up and down learning his new squad, but he is definitely a D1 prospect in our eyes. High level mid-range jump shooter that drills stop and pop shots for days.
Jayson Kent (Oak Forest)
Current Ranking: #39
Kent and his Oak Forest team have had an excellent season. This was the year they pointed toward and they are living up to expectations. A big reason for that is Kent. The long and lanky two guard is a big time wing scorer with a feathery shot from three. Moves well without the ball and transitions quickly from catch to shot.
Lashawn Johnson (East St. Louis)
Current Ranking: #42
Johnson is a wiry two guard that has flashed his upside over the last two years, but is also inconsistent at times. What you have to like here is the athleticism he brings along with his scoring the open floor. Potential as a three point shooter and if he locks in on that ends can be an excellent wing defender.
Paul Zilinskas (Riverside Brookfield)
Current Ranking: #44
One of the more skilled wings still on the board. We have been advocating for his small forward for a while. Good strength and an excellent shooter. Hits jumpers both off the catch and pulling up. His improved handles and athleticism have opened up so much to his game being able to score in more ways.
Marcus Skeete (Waubonsie Valley)
Current Ranking: #45
Skeete is a bigger bodied small forward that has slimmed down considerably over the last year. Proved this summer and through the high school season he can definitely play at the wing spot in college. Really like his mid-range game and can stretch it out to three on occasion. Powerful driver that finishes through contact. Combo forward rebounds well and competes!
Saiveon Williams (Curie)
Current Ranking: #46
Speaking of competitors this South Carolina native is the definition of exactly that. Strong and powerful combo forward that plays more of a post for Curie, but at the next level is probably a three. He missed part of the season because of the transfer, but we saw enough during the summer and at Pontiac. Impactful rebounder, defender, and transition player. High motor!
Pee Wee Brown (Peoria Manual)
Current Ranking: #50
Brown is most likely headed to JUCO for a couple seasons and the one that lands him is getting a good one. This kid can really score it with a pull up game and crafty finishes at the cup. He has the ability to get buckets from multiple levels and elevates the play of those around him with his leadership.
Josh Holmes (De La Salle)
Current Ranking: #52
Holmes is a rangy two guard that has been around for a while. Mostly known as a jump shooter he displayed a more diverse game when we saw him in December. He scored on several layups showing off his athleticism at the cup.
