No. 10 Sand Springs played spoiler Tuesday night to No. 2 Booker T. Washington, defeating the Hornets 66-62 in overtime. The players listed below were the most outstanding performers in the game.

Davon Richardson

UCO-signee Davon Richardson, first and foremost, was the most valuable player in the Sandites' victory. Offensively, Richardson used his stature, speed and sharpness to score the ball, pass, and rebound, finishing with 18 points. Defensively, Richardson did his best to contain the high-powered Hornets' offensive prowess, defending the ball and electing to take on the burden of defending often whomever was hot for Booker T. Washington. Richardson, as Sam Duren of OK Hoops Report noted during the game, proved himself the steal of the year for Division-II Central Oklahoma, if he had not already. Props are warranted for Bob Hoffman, Daniel Wheeler, Cam Henderson and the crew.
