The afternoon games of the second round of the Boys Metro Holiday Tournament started with 8 seed Papillion La-Vista vs 9 seed Omaha Burke. Papillion LaVista’s sophomore duo lead the way to a 65-48 win. The next game of the afternoon was 1 seed Omaha Central vs 17 seed Elkhorn South. Elkhorn South kept it close in the first quarter, but Omaha Central’s suffocating full court defense was too much for Elkhorn South to handle. Central advanced with the 75-46 win to play Papillion La-Vista on Tuesday the 31st. Here are the players that had the best performances during the early afternoon games. 

Luke Lindenmeyer - 6’4 Forward - Class of 2022

Luke Lindenmeyer had the first points of the game with a three pointer and his hot streak continued from there. He posted up smaller players and attacked the hoop with straight line drives. He scored 13 points in the first quarter and finished with a game-high 25 points on 75% shooting. Lindenmeyer can score from deep, absorb contact, and use his body to create space around the rim.
