Recognizing player achievement is what Prep Hoops is all about. In this week’s extensive Midseason Mark series, we will go all across Ohio, identifying which players are leading the way in the 2019-20 season. 

Today, we begin in Cincinnati:

Alex Afari (2022) | 6-3 F | Lakota West

Afari — a Division I football recruit — uses his premier athleticism to make an impact on the boards. The sophomore is averaging a GMC-best 7.4 rebounds with almost half of those coming on the offensive glass. He's a physical force with length.

Robbie Cass (2022) | 5-9 PG | Aiken

Cass continues to have no problem scoring the basketball, averaging 16.7 points as a sophomore. He's a quick lead guard who with blow-by speed. The up-tempo CMAC style of play suits his speed and shot-making ability. Maybe most impressively, Cass is averaging 4.5 assists and just 1.3 turnovers. 

Aboubacar Cisse (2022) | 6-4 SF | Western Hills

One of the top pure athletes in the 2022 class. Cisse not only possesses physical attributes, he's also tough. Aggressively attacks the core of the defense with strong takes. Defends multiple positions. Tied with Cass as the CMAC's
