Henry Abraham. Cambridge-Isanti has spent the month blowing opponents out and that continued a night ago when the Bluejackets crushed Chisago Lakes 101-74. Henry Abraham had 31 points and 11 assists helping his team earn the victory. Henry is now averaging 32.6 points, 7.8 assists, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.4 steals on the season for a 13-1 team.
Steven Crowl. Fourth ranked Eastview knocked off 3rd ranked Shakopee 82-69 and this may have been a game that we look back on if Steven Crowl jumps into that Mr. Basketball Final Five. Crowl bounced back from early foul trouble to physically go at the basket for 26 points while helping limit Shakopee’s ability to score near the rim.
Dawson Garcia. Garcia recently earned a spot in the McDonald’s All American game and celebrated by beating Lakeville North in overtime 87-84. Garcia put 40 points on the board boosting his average to 31 points and 11 boards on the season while also building his team’s record to 9-5 on the season. Garcia put the game away with several late game foul shots to put away the Panthers.
Wyatt Olson. The Saints picked up a very important win on Tuesday defeating a strong Jordan team 69-66. It put St. Peter at 12-5 as they try and keep pace in the section with Marshall and Mankato East. Olson led the team with 25 points and 16 rebounds completely controlling the paint from start to finish.
Decker Scheffler. Fifth ranked Springfield pummeled GFW 95-52 and within that heavy beating Decker Scheffler scored 43 points for the Tigers. Not only did Decker put up the 43, he went over 2,000 points for his career and helped Springfield improve to 15-2 on the year. Scheffler is now averaging 27 points and 11 boards.
Matthew Willert. Buffalo lost four of five games earlier in the month and needed a turnaround. Willert may have accomplished that task in leading his team with 31 points in a win over Edina recently followed by last night’s 35 point game in overtime against Duluth East. Willert is already the all time leading scorer at Buffalo and if he continues to score 27 a game the rest of the season he will hit 2,000 for his career.
