Racine St. Catherines: As a frequent Team of the Week candidate, the standard for St. Catherines increases every week. Again, though, they’ve impressed to the point of cracking the top four. On Tuesday they throttled Westosha Central by 26 points, then followed up with a 47 point win over a talented Shoreland Lutheran team. The best team in division three moves to 9-0 with ever-growing momentum.
Madison La Follette: La Follette used this week to heat up before their bout with Minnehaha next Saturday. They edged out Sun Prairie early in the week and then demolished Verona on Friday.
Kettle Moraine: Kettle Moraine won three games in five days this week, squeezing out tough victories against Waukesha West and Kettle Moraine along with a convincing win over Waukesha South. They move to 8-3 on the year, using this week as leverage to move into the upper tiers of division one teams.
Neenah: After their first major miscue last week, Neenah responded with a win over Kaukauna and Hortonville. In short, Neenah survived their first test week, and they’re more battle-tested because of it.
Honorable Mention:
Wauzeka-Steuben: After outlasting Kickapoo in a marquee division five matchup, Wauzeka-Steuben followed up with a win over Seneca. This team remains a favorite for State and appears to be talented enough to compete in higher divisions.
