Wesley Clark, 6’0, G, 2020, Shawnee Mission West
Clark is a strong ball handler who can weave his way in and out of pressure. He has good speed and makes smart passes and can connect inside outside as he has range and accuracy to his 3-point shot. A smart guard to have on the floor and a great decision maker with the ball in his hands.
Zaid Dajani, 6’1, G, 2022, Olathe Northwest
An intelligent young guard who has terrific speed And an in-game quickness that is faster than you’d expect. He looks to pass and get up to the floor and has several sweet spots on the perimeter that he looks to connect from. He can also handle the ball some but has and off ball roll this season but the ability to create for himself and make something happen when he’s feeling confident.
Ben Gutekunst, 6’0, G, 2021, Olathe Northwest
Gutekunst is a nice guard who has good bounce and the ability to score from 3-point range. He moves well on both ends of the floor and can defend the perimeter and switch off quickly. He has good vision and poise and can see time as both a scoring option and a distributing guard as he’s good at creating plays and getting teammates involved.
Koi Jackson, 5’9, G, 2020, Olathe North
Jackson is a strong senior guard who can get inside and score around the basket. He looks to push the tempo with his pace and he gets up the floor quickly without the ball as well. Jackson has great leadership and can create openings and get to the basket and looks to dish the ball to cutting teammates. Also a sharpshooter from distance and a terrific passer who can find angles and use spins in open space.
Jake McClure, 5’8, G, 2022, Gardner-Edgerton
A nice off ball player who stays on the move and connects from the top of the key. He plays with passion and his teammates feed off his energy. McClure is a young guard but he doesn’t play like it as he shows a strong IQ and the ability to come up big when it matters. He is active across the floor and defenses have to keep an eye on him if he starts connecting from distance.
