Steele Chapman, 6’1, G, 2020, Campus
An intelligent guard who can handle the ball and score for himself in a variety of ways. He has a great crossover which allows him to find space before he gets his shot off. Chapman has solid athleticism and can blow by defenders and slip inside and score. Also a standout defender in full court settings who applies great pressure to the ball.
Ladell Clemons, 6’1, G, 2020, Derby
Ladell is a solid defender who has a mind and the athleticism needed to make an impact in a full court press. He has good speed and crashes the basket well and stays in front of the ball and can collapse and force turnovers. He’s extremely active in fines playing time due to his fluid play, quickness and versatility as a defender and transition guy.
Austin Hilton, 6’3, G, 2021, Belle Plaine
A scoring wing with an eye for open lanes. Hilton is a confident scoring option for Plaine who can connect from a distance, the mid range area with his jumper or score off the glass in transition. Hilton can operate with and without the ball and shows a good mind for defensive plays and presses and has the athleticism to trap, force turnovers and then finish are the glass through contact.
Tre Washington, 5’10, G, 2020, Derby
A strong senior guard for Derby who has terrific speed and good control. He has strong upper body strength and plays with power and shows versatility as a defender and transition scorer. He can create place and is unselfish as a playmaker and shows good leadership and a strong IQ. Washington’s athleticism stands out and his ability to get to the free-throw line and score over opponents.
Tai Johnson, 5’11, G, 2020, Campus
An active guard who has smart, all around abilities who looks to share the ball, set up teammates and run plays at the top of the key. He can play off the ball if he needs to and shows good movement in the ability to catch and score. He is a crafty ball-handler and can get to the basket and finish off the glass through tough looks.
