Prep Hoops Missouri took in some action in Jefferson County as Festus St. Pius hosted rival Crystal City. St. Pius sprinted out to an 18-2 lead, but Crystal City battled back to cut the lead to eight points. In the end, it was too much St. Pius as the Lancers pulled away for a 73-30 victory.

Here is a look at the top standouts from both teams.

St. Pius

Riley Naeger 6’7” (‘20): The versatile Drury signee is one of the best players in Jefferson County. He scored 20 points on a variety of low post moves, dribble drives from the perimeter and 3-pointers. He is also an excellent passer.

Josh Ruble 6’2 (‘20): A fine all around player who really turned up the heat in the second half with 15 of his 20 points. He is a good athlete who is excellent at moving without the basketball. He also knocked down a pair of 3-pointers.

Kayden Cook 5’8 (‘20): One of the quickest players on the floor, Cook was a disruptive force on the defensive end with his on-ball pressure and ball hawking. He had several steals that led to easy transition opportunities. His dribble penetration and passing skills
