Justin Becker, Robertson County – The Sophomore is having a huge season. His team sits at 13-4 overall and Becker is second in the state in scoring at just under 28 points per game. Add in 8.8 rebounds per game with shooting splits of 60/41/82 and you can’t help but be impressed by the leader of the Black Devils.
Wyatt Supplee, Carroll County – The only player ahead of Becker in points per game is the Senior from Carrollton. Wyatt is averaging just under 29 points per game for the Panthers. Coming off a strong AAU season and holding an offer already, Supplee is one of the top Senior prospects in Northern Kentucky.
Scotty Draud, Beechwood – One of the more widely known names on the list, Scotty recently scored his 2,000th career point and is on pace for over 3k in his career. Draud sits at top 10 in scoring while upping his rebounding numbers and has Beechwood off to a solid start in his Junior season.
Cody Potter, Shelby Valley – One of the stars of last season’s All A state tournament, Potter is the lone committed player on this list as he heads to Rollins College next year to continue his playing career. Averaging 25 points and 9 rebounds per game while leading the state in made 3s per game, Cody should be the Mr. Basketball finalist from the 15th region.
Tanner Walton, Lexington Christian – Tanner was really just a role player last season on a veteran LCA team. This season, he’s been elevated to the role of “the man” for the Eagles and he’s responded by leading the team in points and rebounds as you could argue they have overachieved thus far, sporting a 10-7 record.
Travis Perry, Lyon County – Maybe the best college prospect among the small school players, Perry is actually an 8th grader but there is a chance he could graduate Lyon County as the all time leading scorer in Kentucky history. This season alone, Perry is averaging 23 points and helping carry his team to a 9-6 record so far.
KJ Crump, University Heights – UHA has been a fixture at the All A state tournament in recent years and Crump is doing all he can to get them back to Richmond this season. After playing a secondary role the last few seasons, KJ has elevated his offense this season and appears to be back to his old self after an injury plagued AAU season.
Brian Griffith, Owensboro Catholic – Griffith is having a big Sophomore season after spending his freshman season as a role player on a veteran Aces team. Brian is leading the 3rd Region All A champions in scoring and is the engine that makes them go at the point guard position.
Chez Moore, Collegiate – Moore is the best athlete on this list and a good two way player. Chez is leading the Titans in scoring and rebounding this season while 52% from the field and showing an improved three point shot at 36% from downtown.
DaeShawn White, Newport – White does it all for Coach Snapp’s squad. After being a role player the last two seasons, DaeShawn has exploded this season as is having maybe the best Senior season of any 2020 in the 9th region.
Jaylen Dorsey, Berea – The Pirates sit at 10-5 at the halfway point of their season and Dorsey is a large reason why. Leading the team in scoring and rebounding, Jaylen is also shooting an impressive 62% from the field on the season including 42% from three.
