Our first introduction to Raynor was during his time at Douglas Byrd HS, he was an athletic player with upside but still has some areas of his game that needed to be tweaked. After his time at Douglas Byrd he moved on to New Life Christian where we saw him make some major strides in his ability. With improved athleticism and feel for the game we saw him put up impressive numbers which included quite a few double/double performances. His performances during this time as well as outstanding play with Team ENC & Team Trezz led to an increase in recruitment which leads us to where we are now.
Now in his senior season at Northwood Temple he has impressed once again and narrowed his list down to three schools. UNCG, Mount Olive, Catawba and Queens have all made the final cut as to places that Raynor may land.
We never like to guess or assume where a player may land but we would like to take a look at a few of the spots he could land. Queens and Catawba both are programs that have been in the top 20 for D2 programs this season and are losing some wing talent to graduation. UNCG is another program that has made the list and is a program that has knocked off numerous HM programs over the last few years. Mount Olive College is probably the place where Raynor would have the earliest impact as he resembles a player from the Fayetteville area that is currently starting for their program as a freshman this year.
Regardless of where he lands, Raynor has proven that hard work and determination are huge in taking the next step as a student athlete. He’s gone from being a role player as a freshman to one of the top players in the area as a Senior and the best is yet to come.
