“It was kind of going slow,” Jeffries said, “I just hope that it picks up a little bit after this first offer, see if I can get any more.”
Jeffries, the son of Falcons’ coach Mike Jeffries, has been the fulcrum of Millwood’s offense this season, especially since the mid-way mark. Last weekend, Jeffries shot 7-of-9 from the 3-point line en route to a win against OKC Storm in the Oklahoma City Showcase at Midwest City High School.
“I just want to find the right place for me, you know?” Jeffries said.
Myles JeffriesJeffries said his shot is one of the best components of his game.
“Definitely my 3-point shot, my catch-and-shoot is definitely one of my best attributes,” Jeffries said. “I think getting to the rack is another good one.”
Jeffries also mentioned his basketball iQ and mid-range off-the-dribble skills as working parts to his game.
Jeffries hits the mark at the ideal stature to play a combo guard at university, but he still believes some areas of his game have room for improvement.
“I know there are some things I still need to work on, too,” Jeffries said, “definitely working on my stamina and working on my defense a little more.
“I just want to work on my game all-around.”
As for Jeffries’ character, many folks at Millwood vouch for his character and leadership abilities. He has also been known to have a propensity for humor.
“I’m a funny guy,” said Jeffries, who named Key and Peele as one of his favorites shows, “I tell a lot of jokes.”
