Noah McCord (Westlake High School)
Noah has been putting up some nice numbers all year long. He is scoring in different ways and he plays with a high motor. He rebounds, runs and distributes the ball. He can shoot the three-ball but he is always searching for a better shot. He matches up well with all of the other great guards in Region 4.
Jake Sampson (Davis High School)
Jake is a well rounded player for Davis that has nice length and a great motor. Jake is one of those players that can fill up every category on the stat sheet. He can get you double digits on any given night but he does a great job of getting others involved and making the right play. He will be a nice college player.
Trey Sims (Northridge High School)
Trey is having a great year statistically for the Knights. He is long and skilled. He can handle the ball really well for a 6’5 or taller type player. He is difficult to defend on the perimeter because of his crafty moves and quick first step. Trey had 24 and 21 in his last two games.
Trey Anderson (Timpanogos High School)
Trey is a phenomenal athlete. At 6’3 he has great jumping ability as he can finish in a crown and will flush it down on a break. He is the type of player and athlete at both ends of the court that he will always flirt with a triple-double. If you look at his stat line all year long he does what it takes to help his team win.
Brox Ashby (Hillcrest High School)
The Hillcrest guard is 9 points away from reaching the 1,000 point club. Brox has scored in double figures in 14 of 15 games this year. He also has two double-double and even a triple double this year. He can gap defenses and get to the rim, but he can also make you pay from outside. He has a 7 three-pointer game this year already.
Carter Thackeray (Morgan High School)
Carter has a fluid game. He makes it look easy inside and and out he had a nice 34 point game against Bear River as he hit 4 three-pointers, His field goal percentage was high in the game as he didn’t miss many shots. He makes Morgan a real contender in 3A. He has great size with his 6’4 from and he has strength as well.
Deng Mayar (Judge Memorial)
At 6’7 Deng has some great size to play at the next level. He doesn’t lack the skills either. He’s putting up great numbers as he hauls in a lot of rebounds and he can score the ball as well. Deng can score 20 a game with ease. He is averaging just that in his last 4 games.
Parker Buchanan (Box Elder)
One of the least talked about talented players in the state. The 6’7 and 210 pound big is having a killer junior year. He has great vision as a big as he racks up almost 5 assist a game. He doesn’t get out and shoot the three a lot but that is just a summer away from turning him into something special. In his last three games he scored 20, 14 and 20.
