He’s impressed since his stellar performance at the Prep Hoops Top 250 in September. Jackson is playing key varsity minutes and has shown a high ceiling. He’s a playmaker with a nice mid range game. We caught up with Prince Jackson to talk about his game, his keys to success, and more.

What is the biggest strength of your game?
Prince Jackson
My strength on the court is my playmaking and ball handling along with my mid range shot.
Question
You have a bright future in basketball. What will be a key to your success in the coming years?
Prince Jackson
If I continue to keep working in the classroom and on the court I will be able succeed.

What are your goals for this season?
Prince Jackson
A few goals I have for this season is to go far in the playoffs and win the state championship and also gain experience and improve my craft.

Who is the toughest player that you’ve ever matched up with?
Prince Jackson
Toughest player I’ve matched up with this season is Kareem Rozier.

What would you tell a kid that wants to be as successful in the game as you’ve been?
Prince Jackson
All kids should stay in the gym and keep working. No matter the obstacle, make sure you push through it. And also never let anyone break you down.
Question
What’s your favorite gym to play in?
Prince Jackson
My favorite gym to play in is probably the JCC gym in West Bloomfield because I grew up working out and training there, so I have lots of memories there.

Who’s the best teacher you’ve ever had? Why?
Prince Jackson
The best teacher I have ever had is probably Mrs. Schinzing from Novi Christian Academy because she always gave me opportunities to correct my mistakes, and always allowed me to get extra help, and made sure I knew what was going on.
