- Brody Rowbury, 6’10 F, Meridian
The junior big man is averaging 15.8 PPG and 7.8 RPG for Meridian. A player who can dominate on the low block or step out to the three point line to stretch the opposing defense, Rowbury is a commanding post presence every single night that he steps onto the court. Defensively, he can push around opposing post players or be a force in the middle of a zone. Whether he is controlling the boards or scoring points, Rowbury is showing why he is the top player from the 2021 class for the time being.
- Noah Haaland, 6’7 F, Lakeland
Haaland is one of the top 3-point shooters from any class in Idaho. He is a truly versatile offensive big man who is a long range threat from the minute that he steps onto the court. Outside of just shooting, Haaland is able to attack the hoop with impressive athleticism or take shorter defenders immediately into the post. Defensively, he is at his best when he is able to defend opposing post players; however, it is his offensive ability that makes him a unique talent.
- Day Day Higgins, 6’8 C, Lakeside
A traditional post player, Higgins is a leader for one of the last undefeated teams in the state. With his size, understanding of body position, tenacity commanding rebounds, and touch around the hoop, Higgins projects as a strong collegiate post player.
- Alex Horning, 6’5 F, Post Falls
Horning is more of a finesse player in the post than he is a physical player. He is able to score over shorter defenders with a variety of moves and uses his athleticism to get to the hoop to finish over size. Additionally, Horning can stretch opposing defenses with a consistent 3-point shot. With the overall talent set to return to Post Falls in 2021, Horning will be called on to be the offensive leader for this special group next year after the graduation of 2020 #3 overall player Colby Gennett.
- George Forsmann, 6’6 C, Lewiston
Forsmann is a force in the low block (see what I tried to do there). He is able to make hook shots over opposing defenses or use footwork and body control to get into the lane to finish through contact. Forsmann possesses a desire to go after every offensive rebound, creating second chance opportunities for himself and his teammates. A strong and long defender in the post, Forsmann plays the game like a classic post player.
Honorable Mention:
17. Lukas Broadsword, 6’6 F, Century
29. Braxton Pierce, 6’3 C, Madison
40. Ammon Munyer, 6’5 C, Lakeland
43. James Lee, 6’5 F, Post Falls
61. Connor Denson 6’2 C, Mullan
