Here are last week’s Class A Teams of the week
Bismarck
The Demons are one of the hottest teams in the state and are coming off a week in which they beat Bismarck Century and Minot. Bismarck is winning in a lot of different ways. Against the Patriots, it was incredible balance as 10 guys scored and stout defense, as they held Cade Feeney to 4-of-18 shooting. And against Minot, it was with shooting as they knocked down 15 3-pointers. Treysen Eaglestaff led the way with 23 points on 6-of-10 shooting.
Grand Forks Red River
In a week that saw so many of the top teams around the state take losses, the Roughriders avoided catching the upset bug and earned two nice wins in the process. They beat Grand Forks Central (which aged quite well) on Tuesday behind 14 points apiece from Bryce Enerson and Kobe Springer. They backed that up with a win over Fargo Shanley, getting 15 and 14 from Brady Dvorak and Cole Benson, while Paine Parks chipped in nine points and 11 rebounds.
Grand Forks Central
The Knights tied their season win total from a year ago last week with a huge upset win over top-ranked Fargo Davies. Ben Halvorson went berserk in that one, knocking down nine 3-pointers on his way to a 38-point night. Grand Forks Central beat Valley City earlier in the week, getting 18 points from Alex Barbot and 13 from Halvorson.
