Although the Cardinals and Vikings were back and forth for the entirety of the first quarter, the Cardinals pulled away in the second quarter as they scored 27 points and got off to a 48-27 lead. The Cardinals maintained their big lead for the entirety of the game as they won their 25th game of the season.
Trace Boling – Village – PG
Boling is a point guard who is excellent on both sides of the floor. He is extremely athletic as he can blow by defenders, create his own shot, and is a great finisher in transition. Boling seemed to always make smart decisions and has an excellent pull-up jumper. Boling finished with 28 points.
Jaylon Tyson – John Paul II – SF
Tyson is a wing who was the obvious star of this game. He gets to the rim whenever he wants and finishes in traffic. Tyson is also a good shooter as he can knock down shots from both behind-the-arc and mid-range.
Jalen Tot – John Paul II – PG
Tot is the leader of the John Paul II offense and is an extremely fast point guard. Tot shined in the pick and roll as he blew by defenders, made beautiful passes, and finished on both sides of the rim. Tot was the best defensive player for his team as he played extremely tight on-ball defense, stripped ball handlers, and disrupted passing lanes.
Jordan Henderson – Village – F
Henderson is a forward who has the skills of a guard. He uses his speed to blow by slower defenders and finish around the rim. He fights for every rebound and is an excellent scorer from inside the paint.
Alec Zambie – John Paul II – F
Zambie is a lengthy forward and was the second player off of the bench for the Cardinals. He did everything that a coach needs from a bench player as he knocked down three-pointers and played great defense. Zambie can also score with his back to the basket as he has an arsenal of different moves from the low block.
Hunter Hillegiest – Village – G
Hillegiest is an extremely efficient guard. He runs in transition, makes smart passes, and plays good on-ball defense. He has a great feel for the game.
Nate Dominick – John Paul II – F
Dominick is a forward who can do everything. He shoots the three extremely well, has a great euro step, and finishes second chance opportunities. Dominick is an offensive force as he finished with 26 points and scored with ease.
