Bijan Cortes and the Yellowjackets’ offense got going early as they scored 22 points in the first quarter and got off to an early 22-12 lead. The Yellowjackets led for the entirety of the game, giving them their eighth win of the season.
Bijan Cortes – Kingfisher – PG
Cortes is a point guard that is a star on both ends of the floor. He is a facilitator that excels in the pick and roll and always makes the right decision. He has a smooth jump shot off the dribble from behind-the-arc and can also finish with either hand in traffic. Cortes is a top guard in the state.
Maverick Ridenour – Kingfisher – G
Ridenour is a guard that can knock down three-pointers from any spot behind-the-arc. He is consistent and shoots an extremely high percentage from three-point range.
Mason Stokes – Tuttle – F
Stokes was the best rebounder for either team and crashes the glass tenaciously on the offensive and defensive end.
Aryan Haro – Kingfisher – G
Haro is a guard that does all the little things for the Yellowjackets. He takes charges, makes good passes, and always hustles. Haro also plays tight on-ball defense and has enough quickness to stay with most guards.
Kaden Vande – Tuttle – G
Vande is a lengthy guard that can shoot the three and has a quick release. Vande can shoot from anywhere and shoots with confidence.
Matthew Stone – Kingfisher – SF
Stone is a wing that is a big difference-maker for the Yellowjackets. Although he is a wing, he has good guard skills and makes excellent passes. He also plays strong defense, scores in transition, and knocks down three-pointers. Stone’s dominant performance was highlighted by a ferocious dunk in transition during the fourth quarter.
Levi Houck – Tuttle – PG
Houck is a point guard that can shoot the three, handle the ball, and distribute the ball to his teammates. He also has a nice spin move and plays the passing lanes well on defense.
