For the boys, the five main games are Cleveland vs. West Linn (9:00 am), Churchill vs. Lake Oswego (12:00 pm), Clackamas vs. Crater (4:30 pm), Jefferson vs. Westview (6:00 pm), and Barlow vs. Grant (7:30 pm).
Some of the top players from the Classes of 2020 and 2021 will be there including Nathan Bittle (Crater), Ben Gregg (Clackamas), Brian Goracke (Churchill), and Nathan Rawlins-Kibonge (Jefferson). But there are many others at the event that will be looking to make their mark – here’s a look at the top under-the-radar guys on each team who will be playing on Monday.
Jack Chlumak (2020 Lake Oswego) – Transfer from Newberg has made an immediate impact. The 6-foot-3 senior is a utility player capable of playing multiple positions on both ends of the floor. Excels in the mid-range.
Bryson Crockett (2020 West Linn) – Only under the radar right now due to missing the spring/summer due to a knee injury. The 6-foot-3 wing is still working his way back but the lefty is a talented shooter and scorer.
Damon Erickson (2021 Clackamas) – The 6-foot-3 junior wing has emerged as a solid secondary scorer alongside star Ben Gregg. Can knock down the outside shot but also create off the dribble and finish at the hoop.
Keshawn Hall (2021 Jefferson) – Transfer from Las Vegas has settled in as one of the top backcourt scorers for the Demos. The junior lefty has a solid build and strong dribble moves and is an outstanding finisher in transition.
Wayne Jamison (2020 Westview) – The top senior at Westview, the 6-foot-1 guard has tremendous end-to-end speed as a track athlete and plays hard on both ends. Currently leading the Wildcats in scoring.
Evan Pia (2020 Churchill) – Glue guy for Churchill who has shown that he can burn opponents when forgotten about on the offensive end. The 6-foot senior is a solid shooter, passer, and defender.
Austyn Shipps (2020 Cleveland) – All-around 6-foot-1 guard who can not only score, pass, and defend, but does so with a bit of an edge. Tough competitor who has a D-II ceiling.
Emmanuel Steward (2020 Grant) – 6-foot-3 wing has good length and athleticism and he’s yet to reach his physical maturity. Has deep range and has improved his game both as a passer and defensively.
Jayden Vranes (2020 Crater) – Point guard for the Comets plays with non-stop energy, especially on defense. The 5-foot-10 lefty can really get to the basket and is improving as an outside shooter.
Joey Wolcott (2020 Barlow) – Solid third offensive option for Barlow after Jesse White and Evan Inglesby. The 6-foot-4 forward can step outside and knock down the three but also finish athletically at the rim on the break.
