Andre Bottoms- 6’2, Senior, Oscar Smith. Andre Bottoms has been the model of consistency this season. As a senior, Bottoms has displayed an uncanny ability to know exactly what the game calls for at any given moment. Big moments do not seem to deter him either, as Bottoms has shown up and put up numbers across the board, including rebounds, during big games with large crowds. A traditional point guard, Bottoms prefers to get his team involved first, but his ability to get to the paint at will in conjunction with his quick pull up jumper is spectacular and will serve him well at the next level.Jamaal Madison, 5’11 Senior, Norview. Jamaal Madison might not be one of the biggest players on the court, but he is always one of the toughest. Madison combines his quick first step and steady handle with a strong physique that allows him to attack the paint ruthlessly. Madison is also a bulldog on defense, challenging and forcing a couple turnovers when matched up with Jayden Epps, the top point guard in his class for the state. As Norview continues to contend for a state title, expect more press for this strong point guard!
Christian Moore, 6’2 Junior, Cape Henry. Christian Moore, the only junior on this list, is an absolute nightmare to guard. Gifted with a quick release, Moore is liable to pull up from anywhere on the court if the defense is not careful. This season, Moore has shown a more consistent desire to be a playmaker on top of being an electrifying scorer. With another season left in his high school career, look for colleges to swarm this young guard, as his scoring and handles are a must need for most programs.
