Stevie Strong 6’1″ University Acadmey: The 2021 guard exploded on offense in leading the Gryphons to the championship to the Bill Burns Tournament at Lathrop. He scored a tournament record 103 points in UA’s three victories. That’s an average of 34 points a game. The big night came in the semifinals when he erupted for 57 points in a victory over Hogan Prep. He is currently averaging 32 points a game for the 10-1 Gryphons.
Animu Mohammed 6’5′ Greenwood: The 2021 star guard enjoyed a brilliant weekend on the big stage of the Bass Pro Tournament of Champions in Springfield. In three games, Animu scored 100 points (33.3 per game) and set a new tournament record with 49 rebounds. In his three games, he had 38 points and 23 rebounds, 31 points and 16 rebounds, and 33 points and 16 rebounds.
Caleb Love 6’3″ CBC: The 2020 North Carolina signee scored 42 points to lead the Cadets to a 69-64 victory over a very good East St. Louis team at the City of Champions MLK Classic at East St. Louis. Love also had 22 points, nine rebounds and five assists in a 70-55 road victory over Chaminade in a big Metro Catholic Conference contest last Tuesday.
Grant Stubbs 6’5″ Liberty: The 2020 forward enjoyed a perfect night in a big victory over Liberty North last weekend. He scored a game high 27 points while making all nine of his two-point field goal attempts and all three of his 3-point field goal attempts. He also grabbed 10 rebounds and handed out three assists.
D’Anthony Pennington 6’2 North Kansas City: The slender 2020 scoring guard led NKC to the championship of the Kearney Classic. He had 30 points and 10 rebounds in a victory over Kearney in the semifinals, then followed up with 28 points and eight assists in a double overtime victory over Blue Springs in the championship game.
Quenton Shelton 6’2″ Lebanon: The 2020 sharpshooter scored 78 points in two games last week. Shelton scored 34 points in a victory over Camdenton, then followed up with 44 points in a loss to Springfield Catholic. In addition, he has surpassed the 1,750-point mark in his career. With over a month-and-a-half of the season remaining, Shelton is a good bet to reach the 2,000-point plateaum
Sam Richardson 6’5″ Hancock: The 2020 wing scored 39 points in a victory over Bayless. While enjoying his big scoring night, Richardson also became the school’s career scoring leader in the process with more than 1,700 points. Richardson is currently averaging 27 points a game.
Anton Brookshire 6’2″ Kickapoo: The 2021 guard enjoyed a big weekend on the big stage as he averaged 24 points at the Bass Pro Tournament of Champions. He put on a show in the Chiefs’ first game against national power Oak Hill Academy, when he scored a game-high 33 points and seven rebounds. Brookshire knocked down seven of 12 from 3-point range.
Reece Gilmore 6’1″ Southern Boone: The 2020 guard led SoBo to the championship of the California Tournament last weekend. His big performance came in the semifinals, when he scored a career-high 39 points in a 65-61 victory over Fulton.
